The other day I felt like doing something creative and decided to make a hat from some carded wool that I had sent for some time ago from a Swedish site,  http://www.slojd-detaljer.se

The material needed was carded wool, a felting needle and a support pad made of open cell foam (sponge)

 The top of the hat is being formed. I used a sunhat to measure out a suitable size. Needle felting is a procedure, where you press the needle multiple times  through the wool, making the wool fibers to attach and bind themselves together

The first of six rectangular shaped wool pieces is added to the top. These will afterwards be connected on the sides to make them into a hat.
